Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Information Security, to design and implement scalable, secure software aligned with business goals. You will lead the architecture, CI, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver compliant, high-availability systems.

Responsibilities include building identity and authorization services, governance, automation, and security pattern implementation across teams, with mentorship and technical leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building and operating enterprise-scale systems.
• Understanding of identity, authentication, and authorization at enterprise scale.
• Understanding of agentic AI architectures and lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native identity, workload identity, service-to-service auth, and API security.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of services supporting agent identity, authentication, and authorization.
• Deliver secure patterns for delegated authority, least privilege, and adaptive authorization for agentic workflows.
• Implement governance controls to evaluate trust of an agentic workload at build and runtime.
• Build automation for agent identity lifecycle, credential issuance/rotation, and governance controls.
• Define and implement observability, auditing, and compliance controls for agent actions.
