Job summary

Walmart seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Information Security to deliver advanced security services and guide enterprise security solutions. You will analyze systems, design secure software, and lead cross‑functional collaboration across Walmart Technology teams in Bentonville, AR.

Responsibilities include building scalable security controls, reviewing code, and guiding incident response while aligning with business objectives and development life cycle practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in information technology within the past 10 years OR 7 years' experience in information technology or related field within the past 10 years.
• Proficiency in SDLC and application security best practices.
• Experience leading technical problem resolution and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain enterprise security services related to security configuration and controls in the enterprise.
• Analyze systems and business processes to design and implement effective security solutions aligned with customer requirements.
• Agentic coding, building agents and skills to accelerate feature development on existing services and solutions; fix bugs within SLAs and manage support operations.
• Collaborate with teams to assign development tasks, conduct testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Monitor alerts, system availability, and implement improvements to enhance application security and scalability.
• Communicate technical findings and status updates to stakeholders and lead incident response meetings as needed.
