Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Product Security professional to advance security automation and governance across its application ecosystem. You will work within Information Security to define secure architecture, configuration standards, and enterprise controls embedded into developer workflows.

You will architect defensible validation outcomes, mentor stakeholders, and map controls to compliance while accelerating secure speed to market for Walmart's massive retail platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area.
• Option 1: degree plus 4 years’ experience in application security; Option 2: 6 years’ experience in the field.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP risks, threat modeling, secure-by-default standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with technology and business stakeholders to integrate security early in the product lifecycle.
• Define and govern secure architecture patterns, configuration standards, and enterprise control logic.
• Develop secure-by-default implementation guidance for products and platforms.
• Design and validate automated control logic that yields defensible, risk-aligned validation outcomes.
• Evaluate SAST, SCA, and related tooling outputs to reduce misconfiguration exposure.
