Job summary

Walmart seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Information Security, to design, build, and maintain enterprise security solutions across embedded and cloud platforms. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure software and drive continuous improvement within SDLC processes.

The role emphasizes threat modeling, security assessments, and automation of security validations in CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in information security engineering and vulnerability management within software development environments.
• Proficiency in application security practices, including DAST/SAST.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and security integration throughout development phases.
• Expertise in automation and scripting, particularly using Python, to enhance security processes and tooling.
• Skilled in version control software for code and configuration management.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and design effective security solutions aligned with business needs.
• Proven problem-solving skills with experience troubleshooting and resolving security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced support for engineering security services by troubleshooting, resolving issues, and maintaining code and configurations using version control.
• Analyze systems and business processes to design and implement effective security solutions aligned with requirements.
• Lead technical design, development, testing, and debugging of security programs and scripts following SDLC processes.
• Monitor system performance, alerts, and vulnerabilities, implementing improvements and maintaining changes to third-party software and hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions and communicate findings to stakeholders.
