You will work closely with engineers and stakeholders to define domain strategy and roadmaps, while mentoring teams and driving cross-functional initiatives.

You bring 7+ years of software experience, strong Rails expertise, Rust familiarity, and proven cross-team leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a software engineer.
• 3+ years leading software teams.
• Expertise in Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with Rust.
• Proven leadership of cross-team projects.
• Excellent communication with engineers and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead your team with the Engineering Manager and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Insurance to set quarterly strategy.
• Identify technical initiatives to improve products, systems, and teams.
• Contribute code in each development cycle to boost team impact.
• Lead incident response to improve resiliency and monitoring.
• Coordinate with Staff Engineers to evangelize standards and best practices.
