You will serve as the primary technical leader for your teams and help define the domain roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders. You will influence architecture, contribute code, mentor engineers, and drive cross-functional initiatives to improve product quality and system reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of leading software teams.
• Expertise in Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with Rust.
• Proven ability to lead projects across multiple teams.
• Excellent communication with engineers and business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead your team with the Engineering Manager to coach and grow team members.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Insurance experts to set quarterly strategy.
• Identify and socialize technical initiatives that increase product, system, and team effectiveness.
• Contribute code strategically each development cycle to boost team impact.
• Lead by example in incident response to improve resiliency and monitoring.
• Coordinate with Staff Engineers to establish and evangelize standards and best practices.
