Job summary

Syndio is seeking a Staff-level engineer to join the Essentials team in the United States. You will design and optimize high-performance data workflows, handling large datasets with complexity and scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Deep experience in distributed service-based systems and failure modes.
• Ability to reason about data consistency and latency across service boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize high-performance data workflows that process hundreds of thousands of records.
• Own end-to-end performance: query plans, indexing, batching, caching, and memory behavior.
• Design for partial failure and long-running multi-stage pipelines.
• Develop agent tooling for Essentials workflows: data validation, analysis setup, and report generation.
• Create observability to diagnose slow or incorrect runs and ensure trustworthy outputs.
