Enlighten in Texas is seeking a Data Operations Engineer to lead the DataOps team, ensuring reliability and fast data delivery across complex pipelines. The role emphasizes customer-facing coordination, cross-team collaboration, and strategic platform evolution within a hybrid work model in San Antonio.

You will oversee data flows, optimize performance, and champion automated governance to meet client needs while working with a responsive, proactive engineering group.

Qualifications

• Active Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance required.
• 9+ years in technical operations, systems engineering, or data management with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms, and data pipelines.
• Proficient in SQL and data validation.
• Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders; able to work hybrid in San Antonio office 1-2 days weekly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data operations team to ensure reliability, uptime, and fast data delivery.
• Act as primary technical contact for stakeholders and translate requirements into tasks.
• Manage daily DataOps operations to reduce latency between data id and availability.
• Oversee deployment and maintenance of data flows using standard templates.
• Tune cluster performance and monitor pipelines to minimize latency.
• Drive evolution of data platform toward automated, proactive operations.
