Job summary

Syndeo's Data Science practice seeks a Data Engineer to design and operate ETL/ELT pipelines that ingests data from LAB, RCM, CRM, and the iConnect engine. The role builds unified analytics-ready datasets for the Data Science layer, working with Analysts, Scientists, Product Owner, and Scrum Master to keep the ecosystem fast, trustworthy, and scalable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Data Engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years of data engineering experience, healthcare data preferred.
• Experience with PHI handling and data governance highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines from core services and iConnect.
• Develop data warehouse and data lake models for analytics.
• Enforce data quality, lineage, and governance across pipelines.
• Collaborate with analysts/scientists to provide clean datasets for modeling.
• Optimize pipelines for scalability and performance as data grows.
• Implement monitoring and alerting for pipeline reliability.
• Partner with software teams to align schemas with SOA.
• Maintain data catalogs and documentation for datasets.
