CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer who will lead and contribute as both a technical lead and individual contributor. You will help build a next-generation platform enabling use cases into products that promote healthier living.

The role includes creating proofs of concepts, driving delivery excellence, and partnering with IT leaders to enhance digital assets and performance.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in large-scale distributed environments.
5+ years of Java development experience.
5+ years with cloud initiatives and cloud computing tech.
5+ years designing/developing modern microservices and APIs.
3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation.
3+ years in an Agile development environment.
2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient, scalable software solutions meeting requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on feasibility, performance, and scalability to meet objectives.
Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards and quality guidelines.
Coordinate with teammates to align goals and share technical insights.
Adopt best practices, new technologies, and tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Share knowledge through code reviews, tech talks, and workshops.
Collaborate with developers to implement features and deliver high-quality code.
Mentor junior developers to grow their technical skills.
