Qualifications

• 9+ years experience in Software Engineering or related field.
• Proven production software coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• Equivalent experience accepted at senior level.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and ship scalable GitHub services and systems.
• Document architectural designs, run experiments, and prototype validation.
• Mentor teammates to write extensible, maintainable code across products.
• Lead code reviews to ensure high availability and GitHub-scale performance.
• Coordinate with product owners to define and deliver projects.
• Maintain live services on a rotational on-call basis.
• Foster ownership and belonging within the team.
