Job summary

Pearson is seeking a forward deployed engineer who works directly with internal stakeholders and ships working software. You will embed with lines of business to drive AI adoption and deliver end-to-end systems using frontier LLMs, MCP servers, and retrieval systems.

You will own the full stack, operate autonomously, and iterate quickly across engagements, delivering measurable results and durable solutions that scale across Pearson’s enterprise.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience with production systems.
• Strong CS fundamentals and ability to whiteboard service architecture.
• Frontend: Modern React, TypeScript, component architecture.
• Backend: API design, data modeling, auth, error handling.
• Production LLM experience and agent development.

Responsibilities

• Go to where the problem is and design end-to-end systems.
• Engage in real discovery with users and translate needs into working software.
• Ship production AI applications on frontier LLMs and related tech.
• Own full stack including deployment, observability, and URL delivery.
• Iterate across engagements and drive reliable patterns back to platform.
