Job summary

Coinbase is a remote-first company that values high-impact work in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend on the Advanced Trading team to own the frontend strategy for Coinbase Advanced, our trading platform for experienced traders.

You will ensure low-latency, reliable, scalable web and mobile interfaces and lead a growing frontend engineering team. You will mentor senior engineers, drive architecture decisions, and partner with Product and Engineering

Qualifications

• 8+ years of iOS or Android mobile software engineering experience with working proficiency in the other platform
• Proven track record optimizing complex UI systems for performance, including rendering and network efficiency
• Experience leading technical strategy and architecture for a product area
• Mentoring senior engineers and driving improvements in standards and delivery velocity
• Familiarity with high-availability, low-latency trading platforms or real-time data applications

Responsibilities

• Own the front-end technical roadmap for Coinbase Advanced across web and mobile
• Drive performance improvements in rendering, network efficiency, and state management
• Lead multi-quarter technical initiatives end-to-end with high engineering standards
• Mentor senior engineers to elevate decision-making and growth
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to translate priorities into actionable plans
• Shape front-end practices and conventions to scale with a growing team
