Job summary

Brooklinen is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Enterprise Integration to design and build core integration and API platforms connecting Brooklinen’s enterprise apps, data, and systems, to support scalable DTC commerce.

This hands-on role has architectural influence, focusing on robust, secure cloud-native services, integrating Shopify, NetSuite, Boomi, Snowflake, and other enterprise tools. You will mentor engineers and drive API-first, event-driven architectures across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering focused on integration and distributed systems.
• Experience with API-first, event-driven architectures and cloud-native microservices.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Python.
• Experience integrating ERP/OMS systems (NetSuite, 3PL) and data warehousing (Snowflake).
• Expertise with Shopify ecosystem and advanced API usage.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud-native integration services and APIs on AWS and iPaaS.
• Architect event-driven, asynchronous systems using Kafka or AWS equivalents.
• Collaborate with enterprise teams to deliver API-first architectures for commerce, data, and ERP.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC, automated testing).
