Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own the Commerce & Integrations backend, building reliable B2B transaction systems and the integration layer with Dealer Management Systems like CDK, Procede, SAP, and Karmak. This hands-on role is 70% coding, testing, and shipping, with 30% collaboration on architecture and mentoring.

You will design REST APIs, implement data pipelines, and partner with Product Owner and Platform Architect to keep APIs versioned and future-proof.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ year of lead experience.
• Backend PHP experience with REST API design.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend code and APIs for order workflows and integrations.
• Design and implement state machines for order-to-cash processes.
• Own stories end-to-end: design, tests, PR reviews, and deployment.
• Improve performance, data consistency, and reliability.
