Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience, focused on distributed systems or robotics.
• Strong knowledge of distributed-systems fundamentals including replication and partition behavior.
• Production experience building or operating storage engines, databases, or large-scale data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Time-Series: redesign the time-series engine to scale horizontally for many writers and nodes.
• Distributed storage: ensure high-availability and pluggable storage backends with zero-downtime migrations.
• Correctness under partition: maintain consistency and convergence when networks are unreliable.
• Hard distributed-systems problems: tackle replication, consistency models, and durability guarantees.
