Job summary

Anduril Industries in Seattle seeks a senior distributed-systems engineer to own the core data layer of Lattice. You will redesign the time-series engine to scale across 350+ sensor towers and many camera feeds, while ensuring durability and correctness in unreliable networks.

You will tackle hard distributed-system challenges, build high-availability storage, and ship load-bearing components in a small, mission-driven team with strong engineering backing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional software development with distributed systems or robotics.
• Deep experience with Python, Go, C++, Rust, or similar systems languages.
• Strong understanding of replication, consistency, partition behavior, and failure modes.
• Production experience building or operating storage engines, databases, or large-scale data infra.
• Bias toward shipping and owning your work.

Responsibilities

• Redesign the time-series engine to scale horizontally across many writers and nodes.
• Develop distributed storage with high-availability and pluggable backends.
• Ensure correctness under network partitions and intermittent connectivity.
• Tackle hard distributed-systems problems including replication, durability, and concurrency.
