Job summary

Signify Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade software powering clinician-facing experiences and clinician performance management. In this hands-on role you will architect and build highly distributed, large-scale systems, set technical direction, and raise the engineering bar through mentorship and collaboration.

The position requires strong polyglot programming skills across C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, and Python, plus cloud experience

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software engineering: problem solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, concurrency.
• Experience as a polyglot software engineer across multiple languages.
• 6+ months of experience using AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Experience with full-stack development to ship and operate large-scale systems.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of RDBMS such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Deep experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Experience with modern front-end technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and full-stack development patterns.
• Strong experience with cloud vendors: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Ability to travel quarterly or as needed.
• 7-10 years of work experience.
• Adept at problem solving and decision making.
• Adept at collaboration and teamwork.
