Syllo, a fast-growing provider of a unified litigation platform, is seeking a Staff Engineer to own Platforms, Frameworks, Tools, Patterns and Architecture. This role is remote-friendly in the United States.

You will design cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes and Pub/Sub, optimize data pipelines with the AI team, and drive reliability, security, and cost-efficiency across the platform. You’ll mentor engineers and shape the future of legal tech.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise with Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Strong Linux system administration and networking.
• Ability to design resilient, autoscaled cloud platforms.
• Open-source engagement and code contribution.
• Security-focused data protection in cloud environments.
• Experience with AI data pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud-based infrastructure using Kubernetes and Pub/Sub.
• Collaborate with AI team to optimize data pipelines and integrate AI technologies to remove performance bottlenecks.
• Refactor systems to be stateless, enabling autoscaling and auto-repair.
• Lead data ingestion and export processes, reducing dependencies on legacy tech.
• Drive platform reliability with improved alerting, health checks, and incident management.
• Champion cost control and technology upgrades.
• Oversee internal tools to streamline workflows and reduce duplication of effort.
• Ensure the platform meets testing and security standards.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to meet SLA.
