Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Software Engineer on the Developer Experience team to design and operate self-service systems that reduce toil for hundreds of engineers. You will help define AI-driven SDLC models and agentic workflows within the delivery pipeline, while maintaining strong quality and security standards.

You will collaborate with security, CI/CD, and application engineering teams to ensure standards without bottlenecks, and contribute to the evolution of our developer portal and platform

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience; 3+ years in platform engineering or developer experience
• Experience designing and operating opinionated systems at scale
• Working understanding of AI-driven SDLC models and governance
• Strong written communication; able to document and explain tooling
• Ability to collaborate with security, CI/CD, and application engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate golden-path systems for engineers
• Automate to reduce developer toil; avoid reliance on docs alone
• Shape and implement AI-driven SDLC capabilities with quality, security, and compliance
• Evaluate AI impact on delivery speed and satisfaction to guide roadmap
• Partner with security, CI/CD, and application engineering teams to align standards
• Contribute to evolution of developer portal and platform products
