Equinix, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer in our Developer Experience team in the Tampa area to design, build, and operate self-service, golden-path systems that scale for hundreds of engineers.

You will help define AI-driven SDLC models, ensuring security and governance while reducing toil through automation and tooling. You will collaborate across security, CI/CD, and application engineering teams to align standards, contribute to the developer portal evolution, and shape the platform

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience including 3+ years in a platform engineering or developer experience role at a mid-to-large engineering organization.
• Experience designing and operating opinionated systems at scale in large engineering orgs.
• Understanding AI-driven SDLC models and governance considerations.
• Strong written communication; documentation is part of the deliverable.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with security, CI/CD, and application engineering teams to align on standards without bottlenecks.

• Design, build, and operate golden-path systems that make the right way the easy way for engineers across the company.
• Eliminate developer toil through automation and productized tooling.
• Shape and implement AI-driven SDLC capabilities and ensure they fit quality, security, and compliance standards.
• Evaluate AI impact on delivery speed, quality, and developer satisfaction to guide the platform roadmap.
• Partner with security, CI/CD, and application engineering teams to align on standards without bottlenecks.
• Contribute to the evolution of the developer portal and platform products.
