Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Software Engineer for the Developer Experience team. You will design and operate self-service systems that reduce toil for hundreds of engineers and help define AI-driven SDLC adoption across the organization.

You will collaborate with security, CI/CD, and application engineering to ensure quality, security, and compliance while evolving our developer portal and platform products. This is a full-time on-site role in New York.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in platform engineering or developer experience
• Experience designing and operating opinionated systems at scale
• Track record of reducing developer toil through automation
• Working understanding of AI-driven SDLC models and governance

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate golden-path systems for engineers
• Eliminate developer toil through automation and tooling
• Shape AI-driven SDLC capabilities and agentic workflows
• Evaluate impact of AI on delivery speed and quality to guide roadmap
• Partner with security, CI/CD, and application engineering teams to align on standards
• Contribute to evolution of the developer portal and platform products
