Job summary

BlackLine is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Pleasanton to help build the next generation of our data platform and cloud-based backend components. You will design connectors to ERP, bank, tax and subledger systems, driving extensibility, usability and scalability while leading a team of engineers.

You will mentor teammates, own critical architecture decisions, and contribute hands-on development across Event Bus, API Gateway, Job Scheduler, Identity, search, and data integration services.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in building Web scale SaaS backend platforms.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Proven track record of writing high-concurrency, secure, scalable backend code.
• Experience leading design reviews and mentoring engineers.
