Total Comp: $260k-$325k

Base pay range: $260,000.00/yr - $325,000.00/yr

The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join a well-funded, rapidly growing tech company redefining what personalization means in ecommerce. This role sits on the Data Platform team—the group responsible for building and scaling the backend infrastructure that powers billions of personalized transactions per year.

You’ll be designing large-scale distributed systems, working with cutting-edge data processing tools, and partnering with engineering and product leaders to ship AI-enhanced solutions that drive meaningful business impact. If building complex data pipelines and scaling real-time analytics systems sounds exciting, this could be your next step.

Responsibilities

The candidate will:

• Design and implement large-scale distributed systems and data platforms
• Build and scale backend infrastructure powering personalized transactions
• Work with data processing tools and real-time analytics
• Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to translate requirements into scalable architectures
• Contribute to AI-enhanced solutions and data pipelines

Qualifications

We’re looking for engineers who are curious, collaborative, and energized by solving deep technical challenges in high-growth environments. You likely have:

• 5+ years of experience (or 3+ with a relevant advanced degree) building distributed systems or data platforms
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Scala, or Go
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills, along with Linux/scripting fundamentals
• Expert with tools like Spark, Flink, Kafka Streams, Beam, and open table formats (e.g. Iceberg, Delta Lake)
• A product-minded approach, comfortable translating customer and product needs into scalable technical architecture

Nice to have

• Experience with medallion architectures or stateful stream processing
• Background in AdTech or large-scale analytics environments
