Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a senior engineer to own the technical strategy for config and experimentation infrastructure. You will lead architecture for feature flagging, dynamic configuration, and experimentation systems, and shape platforms used by researchers and engineers to ship changes safely at scale.

You will drive development of scalable distributed infrastructure, tooling, and APIs to support high-volume experiments, with a focus on developer productivity and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 15+ years in a Software Engineer role building and operating large-scale developer infrastructure.
• 3+ years leading large scale, complex projects or teams as an engineer or tech lead.
• Experience with config or experimentation platforms (e.g., Statsig, GrowthBook, LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, Unleash, or in-house).
• Experience designing experimentation frameworks—randomization, metrics pipelines, and statistical analysis for A/B testing at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for config and experimentation infrastructure.
• Maintain and enhance architecture for feature flagging, dynamic configuration, and experimentation systems.
• Design and build scalable, reliable distributed infrastructure and libraries for high-volume experimentation and config workloads.
• Own and evolve platforms and tooling to safely ship config changes, run experiments, and measure impact.
• Define standards, tooling, and frameworks for experimentation and configuration management across research and production workloads.
