Job summary

GoodLeap is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build scalable backend services for contractor financial tools, including payments workflows. You will design APIs, ensure security and reliability, and collaborate with Product, Design, Finance, Risk, and Operations.

You will mentor engineers, promote observability, and drive the full SDLC from design to deployment. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of backend development, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with backend focus.
• Deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Strong system design skills for scalable, secure distributed systems.
