Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to develop software for aircraft autopilots and avionics in a real‑time environment. You will collaborate with a cross‑disciplinary team to advance avionics software and GUI interfaces within a DO‑178C framework.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in C/C++ and Qt, with prior avionics exposure and an active DoD Secret clearance. AMERICAN SYSTEMS offers employee ownership and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS Computer Engineering or Computer Science (required).
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience with C/C++ and Qt.
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in aircraft avionics.
• Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
