Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking Senior and Staff Software Engineers to help establish and scale a Boston-based engineering presence. You will work on an AI-powered customer data and CRM platform with a strong backend and distributed systems focus, while contributing to React and Node.js frontend experiences.

Ideal candidates have extensive production experience in scalable backend services, AWS, and data-intensive systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience (Senior level) or 10+ years (Staff level).
• Expert‑level proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Extensive experience designing and operating scalable backend services in production environments.
• Strong experience building on AWS and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services for real-time data processing.
• Influence architecture and drive scalable distributed systems.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to deliver customer-facing applications.
