Jobot in San Francisco is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help build the AI-native financial infrastructure powering private markets. You will design and implement agentic systems, scale backend services, and own critical components from concept through production in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of software architecture, backend systems, and distributed computing fundamentals.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex or similar).
• Experience designing and implementing complex production software systems independently.
• Strong API, data pipeline, reliability, performance and scalable infrastructure knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and quick reasoning in tough technical challenges.
• Strong product intuition and ability to tie technical decisions to business outcomes.
• High-ownership, entrepreneurial mindset in fast-moving environments.
• Willingness to work across the stack and learn new technologies quickly.

Responsabilités

• Design and build production-grade agentic systems and AI-native workflows.
• Architect infrastructure for orchestration, automation, and AI research agents.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of backend services.
• Build scalable data pipelines integrating AI-driven and non-deterministic workflows.
• Develop core backend systems, APIs, and services powering private-market data and transactions.
• Improve matching, automation, and workflow systems for private-market participants.
• Build user-facing product features across the stack when needed.
• Leverage AI assistants to accelerate development and engineering output.
• Make high-impact architectural decisions and own projects end-to-end.
• Collaborate with leadership on technical strategy.
