Job summary

Cryoport, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Remote - US) to lead architectural initiatives and deliver AI-enabled capabilities across value streams. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and infra teams to ship scalable systems and maintain technical excellence.

You will mentor engineers, drive cloud deployments, and ensure robust testing, observability, and cost-conscious design while guiding the team toward reliable, high-impact solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years architecting multi-tier distributed web applications.
• 6+ years building JSON APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on AI/ML in production with LLMs and vector systems.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud deployments and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and implement scalable, resilient software systems.
• Lead value stream initiatives in an agile environment.
• Define and evolve technical vision and architecture for the stream.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product/design teams.
• Build AI-powered features with robust observability and security.
