Job summary

Dealpath, a leading AI-powered real estate investing platform, seeks a Staff Software Engineer in New York City. You will set technical direction for our platform used by firms managing trillions in real assets, lead complex multi‑team initiatives, and raise the bar for AI‑assisted development.

You’ll shape architecture, drive adoption of Claude Code and Cursor, mentor engineers, and partner with product and design to deliver impactful solutions with performance and security at the forefront.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full stack development.
• Proven expertise building scalable web application back ends: Ruby on Rails, Flask, Node, or similar.
• Advanced front end experience: React, Angular, Vue, or similar.
• Hands on experience with AI assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) in production work, with a track record of driving adoption and productivity gains across an engineering team.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex initiatives across teams from concept to production.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead high impact multi‑team initiatives from concept to production, owning the technical approach and outcome.
• Shape architecture, system design, and best practices across the engineering organization.
• Set the standard for building with AI and drive adoption of AI tooling.
• Raise code quality and uphold standards for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Partner with product, design, and quality to define technical requirements and shape what gets built.
• Scale the platform by improving reliability, performance, and team efficiency.
• Mentor senior and early career engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and pairing.
