Job summary

Helix seeks a Staff Software Engineer to steer the Experience platform and raise engineering standards across the company. You will guide AI adoption, shape architectures for genomic applications, and mentor the next generation of technical leaders.

You will own complex projects from scoping to production with autonomy, collaborating with product, design, and science teams to deliver impactful outcomes for patients and providers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with impact at scale.
• Autonomy and proactive problem solving in fast-paced environments.
• Experience driving AI adoption in engineering workflows and safe AI code.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Set strategic technical direction for the Experience platform and wider Engineering organization.
• Lead AI adoption and establish best practices for AI in development.
• Design, architect, and implement genomic software systems for patients and providers.
• Mentor engineers and elevate engineering standards across the team.
