Job summary

ServiceNow, Inc. seeks a Staff Software Engineer for platform engineering across DevOps, Deployment, and Performance Engineering. You will own CI/CD enablement, the AI-driven development platform, and shift-left performance.

Collaboration with framework, UX and other teams is essential to deliver scalable, observable, and reliable tooling for AI-enabled development at scale. You will lead technical standards, mentor teams, and drive end-to-end delivery with a focus on Kubernetes, observability,

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering in a high-traffic cloud-based environment.
At least 3 years in a senior or staff-level IC role.
Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript and/or Python.
Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Expert-level Kubernetes and container orchestration knowledge.
Solid observability background with dashboards and SLO/SLI design.

Responsibilities

Contribute to design and execution of CI/CD pipeline enablement and improve throughput.
Own the cross-team platform roadmap and coordinate MCP integration.
Lead shift-left performance strategy and instrumentation efforts.
Mentor engineers, set standards, and drive code quality.
Champion AI-enabled DevOps tooling and developer productivity.
