Job summary

ServiceNow is hiring for a Staff Software Engineer on the GAIL Core Team. You will own the hardest customer engagements, set quality standards, and build scalable tooling for AI-enabled deployments. This hands-on, customer-facing role emphasizes real impact across enterprise projects.

You will mentor engineers, expand the playbook, and partner with product and engineering to turn field insights into reusable assets that uplift the entire team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise product and customer engagements.
• Strong coding in JavaScript and at least one of Java or Python; production-grade solutions.
• Experience deploying or integrating AI features/GenAI in real customer environments.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and tuning for reliability.
• Bias for standards, knowing when playbook gates apply.
• Mentor and build reusable tooling for the program.
• Strong communication with technical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the most complex GAIL engagements and high-stakes go-lives.
• Own and evolve the GAIL playbook with current standards and gates.
• Build, maintain, and push shared GAIL tooling across engagements.
• Mentor and ramp incoming GAIL engineers through onboarding and coaching.
• Capture patterns from deployments and feed into knowledge base.
• Drive quality standards across the practice and surface feedback to product/engineering.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to surface field signals and close feedback loop.
