Luminate Bank is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design, build, secure, and run proprietary banking and mortgage applications and integrations. You will work hands-on, setting standards for security, reliability, and responsible use of AI tools in a regulated environment handling nonpublic personal information.

Leadership and mentoring responsibilities are present, with design and code reviews emphasized.

Qualifications

• Typically 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Technical leadership through architecture, mentoring and code reviews.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and reviewing generated code.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production applications and integrations for banking and mortgage needs.
• Build and support REST APIs, webhooks, events, and batch exchanges.
• Shape GitHub-based development and release practices, migrate from Azure DevOps.
