Job summary

Intuit, Inc. seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead Financial Assistant’s core AI capabilities in Mountain View, CA. You’ll own architecture, guide multi-team delivery, and mentor engineers while building fast, reliable AI features at scale.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience and track record leading large-scale systems.
Proficient in production services (TypeScript/Java/Scala/Python) and modern stacks.
Experience building AI/ML-powered product features, ideally with LLMs or agentic systems.

Responsibilities

Set technical direction for Financial Assistant across multiple workstreams.
Own architecture and delivery of core capabilities; mentor engineers.
Write/review production code; establish patterns and best practices.
Design prompts, context, evaluation, latency and cost considerations for LLMs.
Collaborate with product/design/data science/platform teams on roadmaps and infra.
Identify risks and drive reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and influence engineering standards.
