Job summary

Datasite is seeking a hands-on Staff Software Engineer to shape the foundational infrastructure for enterprise AI agents. You will own architecture for the agent harness, design layered memory, and implement secure, isolated execution environments at production scale.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Product, ML, and Security to deliver durable, observable agent experiences for dealmakers. Hybrid in NYC or Minneapolis with in-office Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building and operating production software across teams.
• Deep expertise in backend platforms, distributed systems, APIs, and stateful services.
• Strong Python proficiency; plus modern languages like TypeScript/Java/Go/Kotlin/Rust.
• Hands-on with production LLM apps involving tool calling and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and evolution of the custom agent harness and workflows.
• Design layered memory and secure isolated execution environments.
• Build resilient agent orchestration with retries, checkpoints, and approvals.
• Create secure tool integrations with proper permissions and safeguards.
• Establish observability, tracing, and regression testing for quality.
