Datasite is hiring a hands-on Staff Software Engineer to shape foundational infrastructure for enterprise AI agents. You will evolve our custom agent harness, build layered memory, and ensure secure, scalable execution across complex workflows.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, ML, and Security to deliver capabilities for dealmakers, mentoring engineers while remaining hands-on in critical implementations.

Qualifications

• Production software leadership across complex initiatives.
• Strong backend & distributed systems expertise.
• Proficient in Python and a modern language (TypeScript/Java/Go/Kotlin/Rust).
• Experience with production LLM apps involving tool calling and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture of Datasite's custom agent harness, including reasoning loops and runtime controls.
• Design layered memory spanning context, history, knowledge, and durable workflow state.
• Architect isolated, containerized agent execution environments with secure boundaries.
• Build resilient agent orchestration with retries, checkpoints, and human approvals.
• Create secure, extensible tool integrations with proper permissions and safeguards.
• Establish evaluation, tracing, observability, and regression testing to measure quality and cost.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade agent experiences and mentor engineers.
