Job summary

UKG is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build and scale agentic AI capabilities on Google ADK and related platforms. You will guide architectural decisions, drive technical strategy, and lead large-scale agent-powered projects across the organization.

You will mentor engineers, design multi-agent coordination patterns, ensure reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact AI initiatives leveraging cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, and AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with 2+ years building agentic AI systems or LLM-powered applications in production.
• Deep expertise in Python, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building production agents using Google ADK and other agentic frameworks.
• Experience designing multi-agent systems and tool-use architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents using Google ADK and other agentic platforms.
• Integrate agents with enterprise systems through APIs and MCP servers; design tools and plugins.
• Drive technical strategy for agentic AI initiatives and projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact agent-powered projects.
• Architect complex agentic systems with scalable performance and reliability.
• Ensure health and quality of agent-powered services with telemetry and monitoring.
• Mentor engineers on production-grade agents and safety practices.
