Ladders is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join a leader in Pharmaceuticals & Biotech. This role focuses on building and optimizing high-performance software for advanced scientific instrumentation and data processing, partnering with bioinformatics and design teams in a demanding agile environment.

The position supports architecture, performance tuning, and technical leadership to advance the company’s platform capabilities. Remote option with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++ and at least one of Java or C#
• Experience with multi-threading and memory management
• Experience with debugging tools such as GDB
• Strong performance analysis skills
• Experience with source control (Git or SVN) and unit testing

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will focus on building and optimizing high-performance software that supports advanced scientific instrumentation and data processing. You will partner closely with bioinformatics and design teams to develop reliable, efficient systems that perform in a demanding, agile environment. The work will span architecture, performance tuning, and technical leadership to help advance the company's platform capabilities.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $155,600 – $233,400 annually

Responsibilities

• Define architectures for high-performance signal processing
• Design and integrate C/C++ software on Linux
• Optimize software for scientific instrumentation
• Collaborate with bioinformatics and design teams
• Maintain high quality software in an agile setting
• Evaluate new technologies for platform development
