Job summary

Rivian is seeking an expert in signal and power integrity to collaborate with design teams on layout optimization and validation for high-speed interconnects in our Palo Alto environment. The role emphasizes hands-on lab validation, simulation correlation, and awareness of industry trends in SI/PI methodologies.

Candidates should have a strong EE background, experience with EM tools and scripting languages, and a track record of applying AI to engineering workflows.

Qualifications

• MS in EE or related field with relevant industry-level work experience.
• Strong EE fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
• Strong academic background in EM theory and transmission line.
• Familiarity with signal Integrity and Power Integrity for high-speed SerDes and interfaces.
• Hands-on SI/PI analysis using EM and circuit simulation tools.
• Proven track record of incorporating AI into methodology/workflow.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with package and PCB designers to optimize layouts based on SI/PI analysis.
• Coordinate with SOC, physical and system design teams for optimal die, package, and system SI/PI performance.
• Hands-on validation of SI/PI in lab and correlation with simulations.
• Keep current with trends and best practices in SI/PI design.
