We are recruiting for a permanent, full-time Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) in the Community Care Licensing Division, Children's Residential Program, located in Sacramento, CA.
The SSM II provides operational oversight of several units, including Administrative Support, Licensing Information System, County Resource Family Approval, Data Analysis and Program Support, and Training. Responsibilities include managing projects, training staff, ensuring effective program activities within budget, and maintaining necessary equipment and controls.
The role involves extensive contact with department staff, managers, other government agencies, and community partners. The SSM II must exercise sound judgment, confidentiality, and independence, handling complex licensing, policy, personnel, and budget issues. Regular travel may be required.
Knowledge of CCLD licensing laws, regulations, and systems such as FAS, AARS, LIS, and RFA is highly desirable and will be prioritized.

Other requirements include submitting unofficial transcripts if education is used to meet minimum qualifications, a valid driver’s license, and passing fingerprint clearance. The physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds, climbing stairs, and extended sitting and computer use.
