Job Description and Duties: This position requires a strong work ethic, effective communication skills (both oral and written), and excellent interpersonal skills. The incumbent must also demonstrate the ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and departmental policies, with a clear understanding of the unique working conditions within a correctional setting.

The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system, the Human Resources Technology System (HRTS), to streamline the hiring process. Our location in Elk Grove is accessible, secure, and surrounded by transportation options, shopping, and dining. It is near Laguna Blvd and Highway 99, with electric vehicle charging stations available. The city offers a mix of housing, business, and recreational opportunities. The position involves travel to institutions and offers a hybrid telework arrangement, with in-office requirements increasing from two days per week to four days starting July 1, 2025. Regular attendance is essential.
