Job Description And Duties
The Staff Services Manager (SSM) I Specialist is responsible for providing guidance and expertise to Management and Supervisors in areas involving employee performance and administration of the Department of Developmental Services’ (DDS) disciplinary process.

This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person at least two days per week. Beginning July 1, 2025, all employees will be required to work in-person at least four days per week in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25.
The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers. The regional centers serve as local resources to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
