Job summary

Parallel is seeking a security-focused engineer to build and operate security systems across application security, secure defaults, and AI-assisted tooling for agentic web systems that ingest untrusted content.

You will fix vulnerabilities, design reusable security patterns for authentication, data handling, and outbound access, and work directly with engineers and customers as the primary security owner in a fully in-person setting across our Palo Alto and San Francisco offices.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with focus on security
• Strong experience with web and API security including authentication and authorization
• Experience building security tooling using AI models

Responsibilities

• Build and operate security systems to enable fast, secure shipping
• Fix vulnerabilities and reduce recurring issue classes
• Define reusable security patterns for auth, data handling, and outbound access
• Collaborate with engineers and customers to integrate security into development
