Job summary

Parallel in San Francisco is seeking a security-focused engineer to build and operate the security foundations of its production infrastructure, internal systems, and access controls. You will shape how services, identities, and agents authenticate and how production is hardened.

You will design secure defaults, enable auditable actions, and define how AI coding agents run inside Parallel’s environment, including privileges and logging.

Qualifications

• Production cloud infrastructure experience required.
• Experience with identity/authorization and cloud security.
• Strong coding and automation skills in Terraform, Python, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate security foundations for Parallel’s production systems.
• Define access controls and production hardening from code to run time.
• Develop secure deployment pipelines and logging/detection infrastructure.
