Job summary

Parallel seeks a senior security engineer to build and operate the security systems enabling fast shipping with minimal risk. You will cover application security, secure defaults, and AI-assisted tooling, addressing the unique attack surface of agentic systems that consume untrusted web content.

You will define how security integrates into the development process, creating reusable patterns for authentication, data handling, and outbound access, and ensuring security reviews are part of software

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with focus on product or application security.
• Strong experience with web and API security, including authentication, authorization, SSRF, IDOR, injection, and multi-tenant isolation.
• Built frameworks, libraries, or secure defaults that reduced vulnerability classes across codebases.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate security systems that enable rapid shipping while reducing risk.
• Fix real vulnerabilities and implement systemic improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Help define how security fits into the development process with reusable patterns and controls.
• Communicate with engineers and customers to align security priorities and deliver secure software.
