Aurora is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to join the Enterprise Security Engineering team. You will architect and implement enterprise security controls, build telemetry pipelines, and partner with IT, Infrastructure, and Engineering to embed security from the start.

This role emphasizes durable, scalable security solutions, with opportunities to shape security architecture across endpoints, identities, and internal infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on enterprise security engineering experience (endpoints, identities, infrastructure).
• Proficiency in Go or Python for production automation, integrations, or tooling.
• Experience architecting and integrating enterprise security platforms across multiple domains.
• Experience building security telemetry pipelines, log ingestion, SIEM integration, and alerting.
• Experience leading cross-functional security engineering projects with IT/Engineering stakeholders.
• Security architecture reviews and translating findings into prioritized remediation plans.
• Bias for durable, scalable security solutions rather than one-off fixes.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and implementation of enterprise security controls and integrations.
• Design and build security telemetry, log pipelines, SIEM integrations, and alerting frameworks.
• Define and enforce enterprise security standards and conduct reviews for risk alignment.
• Embed security requirements early with IT, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams.
• Build automation to extend security platforms and reduce manual effort.
• Act as escalation point for engineering-level security incidents and participate in on-call rotation.
• Translate security strategy into executable engineering projects with milestones.
