Aurora is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to join the Enterprise Security Engineering team. You will architect and implement enterprise security controls, pipelines, and integrations across endpoints, identities, and infrastructure.

This role demands deeply technical work, collaboration with IT and Engineering, and the ability to translate security strategy into actionable projects. The role is open to multiple US locations including Dallas, with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise security engineering or corporate information security.
• Proficiency in Go or Python for production automation or tooling.
• Experience architecting and integrating enterprise security platforms.
• Experience building telemetry pipelines and detection infrastructure.
• Experience leading cross-functional security engineering projects.
• Security architecture review experience with remediation planning.
• Ability to identify systemic security gaps and implement durable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and implementation of enterprise security controls across endpoints, identities, and internal infra.
• Design and build telemetry, log pipelines, SIEM integrations, and alerting frameworks.
• Define and enforce enterprise security standards with architecture reviews.
• Embed security requirements early with IT and Engineering teams.
• Build automation and tooling to extend security platforms and reduce manual work.
• Serve as escalation point for security incidents requiring engineering investigation.
• Translate security strategy into executable projects with milestones.
