Aurora is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to join Enterprise Security Engineering. You will architect, build, and own enterprise security controls for endpoints, identities, and internal systems, while crafting telemetry, log pipelines, and SIEM integrations.

This role emphasizes hands-on coding and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and IT. The position requires deep security expertise, strong programming skills (Go and Python), and a track record of delivering durable security

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on enterprise security engineering or corporate information security experience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language used in security context (Go preferred; Python common).
• Experience architecting and integrating enterprise security platforms (APIs, automations, tooling).
• Experience designing security telemetry pipelines, log ingestion, SIEM integrations, and alerting.
• Experience leading cross-functional security engineering projects with stakeholders.
• Security architecture reviews and remediation planning with risk-based focus.
• Identifying systemic gaps and building durable security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and implementation of enterprise security controls across endpoints, identities, infra, and SaaS.
• Design and build security telemetry and detection infrastructure with log pipelines and SIEM integrations.
• Define and enforce enterprise security standards with architecture reviews.
• Embed security requirements early with IT and Engineering—shift left on initiatives.
• Build automation to extend security platforms and reduce manual work.
• Serve as escalation point for engineering-level security incidents and participate in on-call.
• Translate strategy into concrete projects with milestones and measurable outcomes.
